Pinoy fast-food giant Jolibee is now ready to conquer Europe as its fourth store in the United Kingdom opened in London's West End.

Jollibee Foods Corp. is set to open a flagship store at London’s West End, the commercial and entertainment center in London in a bright royal purple building.

“Bringing Jollibee to London’s West End is part of our continued commitment to expand in Europe and bring our delicious crispy Chicken Joy to more people around the world,” said Jollibee chief executive Ernesto Tanmantiong.

The new store will be the fourth in the UK as, according to the company, around 75-percent of the customers of the earlier three are British locals.

Jollibee UK first opened in London Earl’s Court in 2018.

Afterwards, Jollibee will be on a mission to open 50 stores across the continent by 2025 including seven branches set to open this year in Scotland, Edinburgh, Cardiff, and Madrid, Spain.

In late 2020, Jollibee opened in Leicester City, one of UK’s oldest cities as the first Jollibee store in the UK to use all-halal meats.

It also features UK-exclusive menu items, including Asian Slaw, Tropical Burger, Mango Coconut Sundae, and Asian Chicken Tender Rice Bowl.

The expansion which is expected to lead to the creation of 1,350 new jobs, is part of a £30-million (P2 billion) investment in the United Kingdom, combined with a £20-million (P1.3-billion) investment in Europe.

To date, Jollibee has over 1,400 stores globally. The company earlier shared its plans to open 50 stores in Europe within the next five years. (HD)
