To beat biting cold as winter begins, a famous Japanese brand of ramen has decided to offer hot broth in can.

RAMEN broth on-the-go? Ippudo has got you covered.

As the fall season is starting in Japan which makes the weather gradually colder as the day goes by, the vending machines are slowly rolling out hot drinks to replace cold drinks.

However, vending machines are not limited to hot drinks like your usual coffee or tea as they are now serving broth-to-go canned drinks.

The world famous Ippudo ramen chain restaurant is releasing a canned version of their famous tonkotsu pork ramen that is ready to drink.

JR East Cross Station Water Business Company's Acure made brand digital vending machines can go a bit beyond providing a simple beverage, offering subscription services and the ability to gift a friend a drink.

Created alongside Ippudo Ramen, they named the drink "Koku to Umami no Ippudo Tonkotsu Ramen Soup"(Rich flavor and Umami Ippudo Tonkotsu Ramen Soup) and is made to taste like Ippudo’s signature broth but has been adjusted to reduce sodium and oil so it is palatable in the absence of noodles and toppings.

The Ippudo ramen drink will be available at all JR East (East Japan Railway) train stations in Japan for a price of ¥150 JPY ($1.40 USD or P 70).

These will be marketed towards late-night commuters that have been drinking and cannot quite stomach a full bowl of ramen but want a hearty, flavorful meal to combat the tipsiness.

In addition to being sold as hot beverages at the "Acure" brand vending machines installed in stations in the JR East area, it is also sold at Ippudo and the official online shop of JR East Cross Station Water Business Company.

The famous Japanese chain Ippudo has branches across Asia, including the Philippines, as well as in Australia, New Zealand, North America, the U.K. and even France.

Japan is considered the country of vending machines as they can be found everywhere in the country.

There are 3.8 million vending machines in Japan as of 2020.

This machine holds every corner, every corridor, and every niche in this Asian country.
