STO TOMAS City -- In a successful joint intelligence-driven operation led by the Nasugbu Municipal Police Station, the Regional Most Wanted Person in a case involving four (4) counts of rape was apprehended on Tuesday, January 2, 2023, at around 3:30 PM in Barangay Bucana, Nasugbu, Batangas.
According to the report by Batangas Police Provincial Office Provincial Director Police Colonel Samson B Belmonte to Police Regional Office CALABARZON Regional Director Police Brigadier General Paul Kenneth T Lucas, the accused has been identified as Bernard Villaviray y Villegas, alias Kapoy, a 20-year-old unmarried waiter residing in the aforementioned area.
Villegas was arrested based on a Warrant of Arrest issued by the Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court, Fourth Judicial Region, Branch 14, Nasugbu, Batangas, on March 17, 2023, with no recommended bail.
The successful operation was executed by the PNP in collaboration with PIT Batangas-RIU 4A, RID4A-PIU RIT, RMFB 4A-403rd AMC 2nd BPMFC, Batangas MARPSTA SOU 3 Maritime, PIU Batangas, and RMFB 4A-401st AMC,
Colonel Belmonte stated, “The Batangas PNP remains committed to intensifying the campaign against criminality and individuals evading the law to hold the guilty accountable and provide justice to the victims.”
