Members of the Alliance for Peace and Democracy (ABKD) symbolically released doves and offered flowers during a press conference in Quezon City Friday, April 5, to condemn the ongoing aggressive actions of the China Coast Guard in the West Philippine Sea and the Philippines' Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ). Aside from urging China to respect the rights of Filipino fishermen to fish in the West Philippine Sea, the group also called on fellow Filipinos to defend the country's sovereign rights in the disputed seas through peaceful means.
