The Philippine National Police (PNP) Regional Office 4A, led by Chief Police Brigadier General Paul Kenneth Lucas, is leaving no stone unturned in the search for the owner of the car previously used by the missing beauty queen, Catherine Camilon. Catherine has been missing since October 12, 2023.

Recent developments have revealed that the individual who originally owned the vehicle Catherine was using on the day of her disappearance provided a fictitious address during the car's purchase.

"As of today, we are still in the process of identifying the person who purchased the car, as the address mentioned in the deed of sale is fictitious," Lucas disclosed.

"The Highway Patrol Group (HPG) is actively engaged in the quest to locate the person indicated in the car's deed of sale," the official added.

Person of Interest

Earlier, the police identified a person of interest in Catherine Camilon's disappearance—a police officer. This identification was based on a text message in which the police officer was alleged to have given the car to the beauty queen.

"The text message contains information from a close friend about the romantic relationship between Catherine and the police officer, and that the police officer was the one who provided the vehicle captured in CCTV footage," the police reported.

"The friend's message also indicated that Catherine and the police officer had planned to meet on the day she went missing," it added.

Catherine Camilon, a public high school teacher and a candidate for Miss Grand Philippines 2023, was last seen on the night of her disappearance in the company of a police officer. Speculation has arisen among some netizens that she may have eloped with the officer.

Support from sister

Amidst the criticisms and speculations, Catherine's sister, Chin-Chin Camilon, penned a heartfelt letter for her missing sibling. Chin-Chin expressed her unwavering support and love for Catherine, despite any online judgment or mistakes she may have made.

Chin-Chin emphasized her hope for Catherine's safe return, saying, "I've promised myself that I won't stop searching until you are found. Whatever you've done, I won't change my view of you. You're only human, and everyone makes mistakes. Everything happens for a reason, and only judgmental people believe otherwise. Even if everyone abandons you because of the situation, I won't ever leave you. I'm just waiting for your return, and I love you deeply," Chin-Chin posted on Facebook.

Catherine Camilon, a contestant for Miss Grand Philippines 2023, captured social media attention after reports of her disappearance on October 12. Chin-Chin also shared details about her missing sister, including her age (26 years old) and height (5'6"). She provided an image of Catherine's vehicle and its license plate number.

Chin-Chin also urged Catherine to come home and surprise their mother, who celebrated her birthday just a day after Catherine went missing. The sister added that many people are extremely concerned about Catherine due to her uncharacteristic silence regarding her whereabouts.
