To ensure readiness of all airport personnel and stakeholders for the certainty and unpredictability of earthquakes, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) Central Office and various CAAP-operated airports joined the quarlterly Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) spearheaded by the Office of Civil Defense on Thursday, September 7, at 2 pm.
CAAP personnel in Laoag International Airport, Tuguegarao Airport, Cauayan Airport, Iba Airport, Plaridel Airport, Calapan Airport, Lubang Airport, Bicol International Airport, Guiuan Airport, Calbayog Airport, Maasin Airport, Tacloban Airport, Bohol-Panglao International Airport, and Pagadian Airport were just some of the participants from the Authority for the 3rd Quarter NSED, which intends to ready personnel and stakeholders for the certainty and yet unpredictability of earthquakes.
The quarterly nationwide event also aims to emphasize the preparedness of the Filipino people in the event of a 7.2 magnitude earthquake.
