Yes, that famous big house from the classic Christmas movie “Home Alone” will be available to rent for one day only later this month, allowing four guests to relive their favorite scenes from the movie in real life.
In a post on Instagram, Airbnb wrote: "Celebrate the season McCallister-style, ya filthy animals. For the first time ever, one crew of mischief makers can book a holiday in the timeless house where the Home Alone story began (without the interruption of pesky intruders)".
On Dec. 12, the house will become available on Airbnb for a $25 (P1,275) overnight stay, if you're fast enough to book it.
Up to four guests can enjoy a holiday evening inside the famous "Home Alone" movie house decorated with twinkling lights and a perfectly trimmed tree if you're fast enough to book it.
Buzz McCallister, Kevin McCallister’s tarantula-obsessed older brother, played by Devin Ratray in the franchise, will serve as the host for up to four guests.
Ratray will not be staying overnight, though guests will be able to view a multitude of photos of Home Alone characters throughout the home.
“You may not remember me as particularly accommodating,” Buzz said in the news release, “but I’ve grown up, and I’d be happy to share my family home — my pizza, even — with you this holiday season. Just try not to let my tarantula, Axl, loose this time.”
Additionally, the house will come decked out with everything needed to get the full “Home Alone” experience — including the latest Disney+ movie “Home Sweet Home Alone.”
The full experience is said to offer “plenty of Chicago’s finest pizza” and “a candlelit dinner of microwavable Kraft Macaroni & Cheese,” along with an intimate meet and greet with a tarantula and the gift of a LEGO Ideas Home Alone set.
