A 29-year-old woman died after a suicidal man jumped from the top of a building in downtown San Diego and landed on top of her.

A 29-year-old woman died after an unidentified man jumped from the parking garage of a building and fell on her in San Diego, California.

San Diego police reported that Taylor Kahle had eaten dinner in the downtown area Sunday (April 25) and was walking home with a friend at around 7:30 p.m. along the 400 block of 10th Avenue near J Street, not far from Petco Park.

As she walked, a man jumped from a parking garage, right above her and landed on her directly.

Kahle died at the scene, the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office said, while the unidentified man was rushed to the UCSD Medical Center where he died.

"It's hard to believe that something so senseless could take an innocent person," Kahle's colleague, Dean Williams, told NBC San Diego.

Kahle’s boss Laurel McFarlane, told the outlet that Khale lived with and had a close relationship with her father.

"We pray for her family, and we pray for the family of the gentleman who jumped, along with the gentleman she was with," Williams told NBC San Diego. "It's just a triple tragedy."
