Mylene Paat and Kalei Mau will play for Thailand and USA even as they are expected to showcase their talents as imports in the said country.

THE Philippine volleyball league will lose two of its power hitters with Kalei Mau and Mylene Paat set to play to the USA and Thailand, respectively.

Fresh from her championship run with the F2 Logistics in the inaugural season of the Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) Championship League, Mau will play in the US pro league’s second season in March.

F2 displayed their dominance at the PNVF Championship League as the talent-packed team did not drop a single set in the competition.

They won the first ever title in the league as they dropped Chery Tiggo Crossovers in 3 sets, 25-20, 25-20, 25-22.

After scoring 16 points in their title match, Mau announced in her interview about her future plans of playing abroad.

“I’ll be playing in the US Pro League, Athletes Unlimited this coming March,” she said.

On the other side of the championship game, Chery Tiggo Crossovers’ Mylene Paat is also bringing her talents to Thailand.

Paat will play as a reinforcement to one of the powerhouse teams in the Thailand League with Nakhon Ratchasima.

Last Sunday, Nakhon Ratchasima formally welcomed Paat to their team with a welcome message posted in their official social media page.

She will be joining one of the strongest teams in the Thailand League which is anchored around the play of national team mainstay setter Tomkom Nootsara.

Paat is only the second Filipino to play in Thailand following the footsteps of Alyssa Valdez who played there back in 2017.

Her local teammate in Chery Tiggo Jaja Santiago missed their maiden run in the PNVF Championship League as she is currently playing in Japan as an import for Ageo Medics.

According to Chery Tiggo’s team manager Ronwald Kris Dimaculangan,

Paat is still expected to play for Chery Tiggo when she’s back in the Philippines after the Thailand League which will start in the second week of December.
