Two tourists from Senegal were banned after they were found ignoring the “no crossing” sign at an undeveloped section of China’s Great Wall.

TWO foreign tourists were banned from visiting the Great Wall of China again after they trespassed into an undeveloped section of the Wall.

The tourists, who came from Senegal, were found ignoring the “no crossing” sign, according to the official WeChat account of the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall.

The WeChat post was followed by a photo of a man in black coat sitting on the wall while another in gray is seen behind the sign that read, “This is the undeveloped segment of the Great Wall. No crossing.”

"From a safety point of view, the Wild Great Wall is steep and the bricks are loose, so if you are not careful, you will get lost or get injured," the statement said. "It is never suitable for climbing and walking."

“The two tourists, after being blacklisted, will not be allowed to buy tickets and enter the scenic spot,” a staff member with Mutianyu Great Wall told the Global Times.

The topic went viral on China’s Weibo with many netizens supporting the agency’s decision to blacklist the foreigners.

The Wall went viral last week when photos from the Agence France-Presse were published online showing people packed the attraction on May 1 Labor Day, some with masks and some without.

China eased travel restrictions on March 15, CNN reported, allowing residents to return and some travel from other countries "for work or humanitarian reasons."

The Great Wall was listed as a “World Cultural Heritage” by UNESCO in 1987 and draws more than 10 million visitors a year prior to the pandemic. (HD)
