The Filipino imports in the B.League will have a duel against the B.League rising stars in the annual All-Star Game.

FILIPINO players will headline the Asian Quota players in the B.League All Star Game on January 14 in Okinawa.

With the rise of the numbers of Filipino players in the B.League, their talents were not left unnoticed as they will face the outstanding local rookies in the “B.League Asia-Rising Star Game”.

The Asian Quota players team, which currently has 14 players across the league, will be headed by Thirdy Ravena of the San En Phoenix.

He will be accompanied by his brother Kiefer with the Shiga Lakestars, Bobby Ray Parks from Nagoya Diamond Dolphins, Kobe Paras with the Niigata Albirex BB, and Dwight Ramos with the Toyama Grouses.

Also competing in the Asian Quota players team are Korea’s Yang Jaemin who plays for Shinshu, while China’s Wang Weijia suits up for Akita and Indonesia’s Brandon Jawato who is playing for Utsunomiya.

The All-Star weekend will be played in two days on January 14-15, 2022 in Okinawa, Japan.

The league also announced that they will be opening a voting period for the All-Star Game.

From November 8 to 30, the league’s official website will open its voting portal.

Unfortunately, both the Ravena brothers are now officially booted out of the race for the 97th Emperor's Cup title from both of their matches yesterday.

San-En Neo Phoenix, which Thirdy plays for, was stunned by an upset win by the second division team Kagawa Five Arrows at the Arena Tachikawa Tachihi. With the final score 71-95, Thirdy only scored seven points on a frustrating 3-of-14 shooting.

Kiefer, on the other hand, had a better performance with 12 points, two assists, and two steals.

But his Shiga Lakestars team still bowed out of contention after a beatdown from Alvark Tokyo, 75-92.

Still on the hunt for the Emperor’s Cup title is Dwight Ramos and the Toyama Grouses as they took down the Ibaraki Robots, 94-87. He managed to score five points, four rebounds, and three assists for his team.
