The NBA has revealed its all-time 75 greatest players in the history of the league that expectedly include some of the biggest stars like Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Bill Russell, Jerry West, Kobe Bryant, Lebron James and Michael Jordan.
WITH the league which produced some of the greatest athletes who have ever lived, these 75 legends are absolutely the best of the best.
The NBA finally unveiled the last 25 players to complete their top-75 greatest players in league history to commemorate NBA’s 75th anniversary.
The first 25 players were announced ahead of the 2021-22 season openers on Tuesday, then the next 25 were revealed Wednesday afternoon. The final 25 players to complete the list was released on Thursday.
Interestingly, not one player from the 50 greatest players announced during the 1996-97 season dropped off the list of 75 greatest players revealed by the NBA over the past three days.
There were just 26 new names added to the list.
The list is not ranked. As expected, it houses the legends of the game like Michael Jordan, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, and Bill Russell.
It also includes a number of active players, including LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Anthony Davis, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Stephen Curry, and Damian Lillard.
Every MVP winner in league history is on the list with the only exception of Derrick Rose, who is the league’s youngest MVP ever.
Of course as every all-time lists from the past, the anniversary team was met with some controversies with players snubbed, omitted or even added.
Some notable snubs are Klay Thompson, Paul George, and Dwight Howard.
