Continuous ash emissions from submarine volcanic eruption in Japan has forced flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) to cancel direct flights to the country Monday (August 16).
In an advisory, the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) said that cancelled flights following eruption of Fukutoku-Okanoba volcano are:
•PAL flight PR427 (Narita-Manila) and PR437 (Nagoya-Manila),
•PR411 (Kansai-Manila) andPR421 (Haneda-Manila)
•PR425 (Fukuoka-Manila) and PR426 (Manila-Fukuoka)
Earlier, KLM Dutch Airlines also announced flights cancellation - flight KL804/KL803 (Manila-Amsterdam-Manila).
All Nippon Airways also cancelled flight NH870 (Manila-Tokyo Haneda).
