Former US President Donald Trump is still trying to make himself relevant in social media after being banned from Twitter and other online platforms.

His adviser, Jason Miller, shares that this new platform will be “the hottest ticket in social media,” as it would “completely redefine the game.”

PEOPLE from around the world had seen Donald Trump’s bold and uncensored posts on social media before, during, and after his presidency.

He would frequent the app Twitter, where he would post his musings about different topics, regardless of how controversial they may be.

When he lost the presidency to Joe Biden, Trump refused to believe it and claimed the elections were rigged before triggering an uprising that culminated with his loyal supporters storming and briefly taking over the Capitol Building.

This caused Twitter to suspend his account, purportedly for perpetuating fake news with unverified claims.

Alongside Twitter, Facebook also suspended his account following January’s riots at the US Capitol in Washington D.C., given that those involved in the melee were mostly Trump supporters.

He was locked out of his account after calling those who stormed the US Capitol “patriots,” disregarding the fact it was a huge disrespect to the democratic institution.

The former president was also locked out of his accounts on the hit gaming platform Twitch, and the multimedia app Snapchat, as they also saw him violating policies on “the glorification of violence.”

Now, Trump is all set to return to social media, this time with his own platform.

His adviser, Jason Miller, shares that this new platform will be “the hottest ticket in social media,” as it would “completely redefine the game.”

He would use social media to speak directly to his followers, bypassing the traditional media.

More often than not, his statements were crass, opinionated, and biased. They were musings straight from his mind, not his advisors or speech writers.

While America is all about freedom of speech, his boldness on social media has incited a divide between citizens.

There were Trump supporters who would rally behind his outspoken messages, and those who felt his online rants were unbecoming of a US president.

After all, placing statements out on social media is open to many interpretations, and could easily cause tension among different groups and sectors.

With this new platform he plans to launch, it seems Trump will continue to bank on social media to get the support of his fans and followers. (OM)
