Nearing two decades of his professional MMA career, the 43-year-old said he is still constantly improving on his skill set, and has yet to encounter signs that would point him towards retirement.

"I always refer to my elders, those who retired before me. I always ask them when did you know you're gonna retire?" said the "Truth" in an interview with Power & Play.
“Their answers [are] always the same: One day you'll wake up. You're not gonna want to be sore anymore, don't want anybody gonna punch you, don't want to be kicked in the leg anymore." he added.

But for Vera, this is not yet the case.

Brandon feels exactly the way he feels since the start of his training for MMA.

Having recently joined Sanford MMA under renowned coach Henri Hooft, Vera admits he gets to try new things and be a student of the sport again.

Vera is going up against Bhullar is set as the main event of ONE: Dangal, a tape-delayed event from the Singapore Indoor Stadium which was supposed to happen in May of last year in Manila, but was canceled due to the spike of Covid-19 cases.
