Bb. Pilipinas 2019 runner-up Aya Abesamis is now formally under Ford Fashions.
Former Binibining Pilipinas Grand Worldwide Aya Abesamis announced on social media that she is now under Ford Fashions with her profile now on the modeling company’s web site.
The beauty queen-model took to Instagram to share the news and posted a screenshot of her online profile under Ford Models New York.
The Skilled Fashions Affiliation of the Philippines (PMAP) also shared the excellent news through its social media accounts, saying it’s “very proud” of Abesamis for being a part of Ford Fashions.
“Aya Abesamis now represented by Ford Fashions. Your PMAP household could be very happy with you!” it mentioned in an Instagram publish.
Fellow beauty queens showed support toAbesamis in her milestone as they left comments in her social media post.
Miss Universe 2012 first runner-up Janine Tugonon could not help but call her fellow beauty queen "gorgeous," while Miss Grand International 2020 first runner-up Samantha Bernardo put lovestruck emojis in the comments section.
Abesamis has history with beauty pageants being the daughter of Binibining Pilipinas-Universe 1984 and Miss Universe 1984 3rd runner-up Desiree Verdadero and was part of the Professional Models Association of the Philippines even before joining pageants.
In 2019, she was crowned as Bb. Pilipinas 2019 first runner-up but later on took over the Bb. Pilipinas Grand International title after Samantha Lo resigned from her post.
However, despite inheriting the title, Abesamis was not able to compete in Miss Grand International 2020 due to age limit caused by the delay of the MGI tilt because of the pandemic.
She was then replaced by Samantha Bernardo and was able to bring home the first runner-up award from Bangkok, Thailand.
Ford Models was founded in 1946 and is considered one of the top modeling agencies in the world, producing top notch models like Brooke Shields and Naomi Campbell.
