A Fading Inspiration

What has happened and is happening now in the proud United States of America couldn’t be any less than what is plainly seen and perceptible.

It seems, however, that their reputed and so-called topnotch politics, and supposed model democracy the rest of the world are aggressively told to model, is haplessly faulty, if not at all illusory of a claim.

Regardless of their, maybe, incomparable wealth and riches, their politics is no better than the weaker and backward of countries they often have taunted and mocked as banana republics.

After all, and contrary to their frequent proud brags, their level of politics and kind of politicos are no different than that of ours.

Far From Perfect

Theirs, however “resilient” it had been historically, is far from perfect.

Theirs is still a democracy not immune to fraud, and yes, a politics not spared from potentially reprehensible inclinations.

Theirs is still a far cry from what they have been telling us and the rest of the world all these years; that they are the nation the rest of the world must look up to and believe.

Fragile Democracy

Regardless of whatever really happened to their elections, the screaming truth is obvious: democracy is not just fragile, it is still an imperfect system of government.

And while it can be undisputedly argued that Democracy is so far the best of political system the US and the rest of democratic nations have known and astoundingly perfected or so claimed by Americans, it still is very much flawed of a government system.

Whatever has become of the US and the proud Americans – Democrats and Republicans alike, they really have a lot of serious fixing to do now, if they are to recover from what appears a spiraling downtrend. Unfortunately, the indications I see from both sides, especially the far left, do not appear promising.

A Deep Divide

And should there be no stopping from the far left’s effort to burn down Trump and erase all and everything he had done.

Impeaching him again the second time, after a failed attempt by progressive democrats to persuade Vice President Pence and Trump’s Cabinet to have him immediately removed from office by invoking the 25th amendment.

After that embarrassing chaos and violence at the State Capitol in DC, I seriously doubt of an immediate healing and unity from the tragic gaping and profoundly deep divide now defining the US.

Not an American here and certainly far from becoming one, I so just thought that once, the US and its brand of politics were in fact for me, and hopefully still, an inspiration.
