The Philippine Statistics Authority recently announced what it considers good and welcome news—the inflation rate (which is the rate at which prices increased) was down from 2.9 percent in January to 2.1 percent in February. However, in the same press release, this agency admitted that it was only 1.9 percent in September last year.

I have been watching on YouTube Elon Musk, head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), unmask corruption and wasteful spending in the Federal Government of the United States of America. The results of his department’s work, which are nothing short of astounding, are tracked in terms of millions of dollars saved. In the past several months and suprisingly even up to this afternoon, I came across information pertaining to practices that I believe do not contribute to the economic growth of Eastern Visayas.

The national government, through the Philippine Statistics Agency, announced that the inflation rate in 2024 reached 3.2 percent and the economic growth rate was 5.6 percent. The inflation rate for food was 4.4 percent.

It is always a battle of the positive and the negative like a negative slippage for Phase I of the project, but positives on the other three components being implemented by CAAP and the DPWH.

the country. If it is an act that is repeated over and over, then it must have
benefits to both the recipient and the giver of the money. What could these
