THIS early, mom Vilma Santos and son Luis Manzano are excited about their anticipation of Jessy Mendiola’s pregnancy. The more they think about it, the more they become thrilled about the experience even sans traces of Jessy’s interesting stage.
Vilma and Luis are apparently giving meanings to the physical looks of Jessy based on their and other people’s observations to the extent of being superstitious.
Someone from the household of Santos had noticed that Mendiola’s appearances, especially her face and neck, were that of a lovely lady and it would mean baby girl for her and Manzano.
“Gano’n daw talaga ‘yon. Pag ang leeg, e, makinis, babae ang magiging anak. At ang ganda-ganda ni Jessy (It’s indeed like that. If the neck of a woman is smooth, her baby is a girl. And Jessy is beautiful),” echoed Vi and Lucky.
Mom and son were excited to share the name Jessy and Luis have chosen if their first-born is a baby girl.
“Yeah, Emma, maganda (Emma, it’s a beautiful name),” quipped Vilma while Jessy was just behind them, smiling.
It must really be the excitement of a mom-in-law to cuddle her grandkid that makes Vilma a doting mom to both Jessy and Luis.
It is also the fact that Santos wants a girl in their family. “Of course, may babae na kami, (we already have a girl), si Jessy,” exclaimed the congresswoman-actress.
It’s been a long time since there wasn’t a girl in the Santos-Recto family since most of them were men, Senator Ralph Recto, Vilma’s husband and Ryan Christian Recto, her son by the lawmaker.
It’s indeed happy to expect a baby girl in Vi and Luis’ family.
