UP-Visayas Tacloban is set to air on its online radio a series of talks on women empowerment.

The new program series will be under Bátì UP Tacloban’s “Pagsurumpay” panel talk show, with the aim of discussing “how and why gender and women’s issues continue to be relevant today.”

In celebration of International Women’s Month, the University of the Philippines-Visayas (UP-Visayas) Tacloban College will launch the “Living Gender Conversation Series” over its online community radio, Bátì UP Tacloban.

In a statement, UP-Visayas Tacloban said the new program series will be under Bátì UP Tacloban’s “Pagsurumpay” panel talk show, with the aim of discussing “how and why gender and women’s issues continue to be relevant today.”

With the theme “Panlimbasog, ‘Day: Katungod han Kababayin-an, Kaupayan han Katilingban.” the community radio plans to upload at least three episodes, with the first episode aired last March 10.

Some may agree and some may not, but in an ever changing society, if one cannot accept that this is the time to talk of unconventional things that actually affects the generation and society, then the never ending question of ‘when is the right time?’ will continue to persist. (JKA)
