THE city government of Tacloban has ordered a bar and resort to explain a video circulating on social media showing patrons violating minimum health protocols.

Business Permits and Licensing Division head Gemafiel Gaspay has ordered the Aqua Tico Beach Resort/Blue Paradise Bar and Grill in Barangay San Jose to explain why it held a party last August 29, in violation of the ban on mass gatherings in the city due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

A video that has gone viral on social media showed revelers not wearing facemasks and failing to observe social distancing while dancing to what seems to be a live band inside the venue.

Gaspay also stated that they would only be waiting for three days starting yesterday, August 31, for the explanation before proper action would be made.
