Over a 100 hogs in Kananga culled due to ASF

The culled swine were well within the 500-meter radius from the location where a case or cases of ASF virus was positively detected.

More than a hundred pigs in Leyte town of Kananga were culled today July 14, 2021.

The swine were within the 500-plus meters radius from Sitio Sagkahan in Barangay Poblacion where a case of African Swine Flu virus was found.

The Department of Agriculture -sanctioned culling is done to prevent further spread of the swine flu.

Meanwhile in Barangay Maac, Sogod, Southern Leyte, an undetermined number of hogs were reportedly culled also the other day.
