A father-and-son drinking bout turned into a near-fatal confrontation after the father hacked his son in San Isidro, Leyte.
A drinking bout in San Isidro, Leyte ended in tragedy after a 69-year-old man hacked his own son in Barangay Banat-i.
San Isidro police identified the suspect as Vicente Daguil, resident of Sitio Calunasan in the said barangay.
According to a report filed by San Isidro Municipal Police Duty Investigator PMSg Reynante Bandelosa, Daguil was having a drinking bout with his son Raul when the two began arguing about their property.
Due to the influence of alcohol, the argument turned violent with Vicente stabbing his own son with a knife.
Raul was immediately brought to the nearest hospital to be treated after receiving injuries in different parts of his body.
Vicente, on the other hand, surrendered to the police while his son decided not to file a case against his father. (JKA)
