A suspected drug pusher posing as an agent of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) was collared during a recent anti- drug operation in Barangay Salvacion, Ormoc City.
A suspected drug pusher allegedly posing as an agent of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) was nabbed during a police operation in Barangay Salvacion, Ormoc City recently.
The suspect, identified as Ronaldo Galapin, was carrying a fake PDEA badge along with several other identification cards, according to authorities.
Ormoc City police were also able to recover eight grams of suspected shabu with an estimated market value of P58,800, a .45 caliber firearm, and ammunition.

Galapin is considered by PDEA-Region 8 as a “high-value target” in the region.
The suspect is currently under the custody of PDEA facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002); Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act); and usurpation of authority.
This, as the agency has called on the public to immediately report individuals identifying themselves as PDEA agents while doing illegal transactions as such acts are not to be tolerated.
