THE Tom Rodriguez-Carla Abellana nuptials at the Madre de Dios in Tagaytay Highlands and the reception at the Jardin de Zaida in Talisay, Batangas have spawned a myriad of information about the Visayan connection of the event.
Bartolome Alberto Abinguna Mott, better known as Tom Rodriguez, has his roots ingrained in Catbalogan City in Samar because his mom, Teresita Abinguna hailed from the place while Carla is the daughter of actor Rey “PJ” Abellana, who was born in Davao City but grew up in Bacolod City in Negros Occidental.
Ray and ex-wife Rhea Reyes gave away their daughter to the man of her life.
Although the wedding took place in CALABARZON region, the main protagonists of the event were partly Visayans.
It was a dreamy wedding sort of gathering amid the midst of solemnity of the church and the hall where the major matrimonial activities were held like dining, partaking of the cake, the toast of the wine, dancing with parents of the bride and groom and other socials in a fantasy-like atmosphere.
Tom was very candid in his nuances as the groom like his lighted-heart processional with his mom Teresita to the altar while Carla was the sweet and caring bride and hostess of the occasion.
Rodriguez’s dad, William Mott, wasn’t physically present during the momentous evening but he virtually rendered a song for his son and daughter-in-law.
