Applications for the Medical Scholarship Program of Northern Samar for 2nd year up to 4th year medical students and reviewees (5th year) have already closed last May 31, but freshmen medical students are still welcome to apply until June 18.
THE provincial government of Northern Samar, through the PGNS-Medical Scholarship Program (MSP) Board, has started assessing the documents submitted by the second batch of applicants.
The assessment came before recommending the deserving beneficiaries to Governor Edwin Ongchuan.
At present, applications for 2nd year up to 4th year medical students and reviewees (5th year) have already closed last May 31, but freshmen medical students are still welcome to apply until June 18.
The scholarship grants beneficiaries of up to P100,000 per semester tuition and school fees, plus stipend, book and uniform allowance amounting to 70,000 per semester.
In return, scholars will have to render service in government hospitals within the province once they become doctors, equivalent to two years for every year of the scholarship.
