MAKE IT HAPPEN
We know what a challenge it can be to plan and execute an event. But to make it happen from across the seas - with team mates you have never met in your life - could lead to sleepless nights… or raise your blood pressure... or turn out to be your worst nightmare.
But last weekend - thanks to the power of spontaneous speaking skills of my wonderful team mates - I was able to successfully Co-Host and facilitate an event halfway around the world. I was solo in Manila while everyone else was across the Pacific Ocean. Yet - against all odds - things worked out to everyone’s surprise, satisfaction and delight.

When it comes to event management, which I have been engaged in since 1988, you realize that things happen faster than lightning. Life is Not a prepared speech. Spontaneous speaking skills are a MUST. Impromptu. On the spot.

Our young and dynamic millennial leader Ryan is a whiz at spontaneous speaking. With tech skills of the young combined with wisdom far beyond his age, he kept the team on the same page, dancing to the same tune. Focus and clarity of thinking, speaking and writing - over and above his expertise in active listening - are Ryan’s outstanding skills.
MISSION I’M POSSIBLE
My effective and efficient partner Co-Host David allowed me to shine on cam, while he miraculously made the impossible possible from behind the camera - across the seas. How? By being a master at spontaneous speaking skills. We were on the phone - continuously updating each other.

It is not enough to be book-smart. In this day and age of short attention span, the ability to be proactive and respond On The Spot is critically important.
