If i were the DepEd Secretary, i would require all schools to incorporate 'self mastery' as a subject in their curriculum.

I recommend a book titled Self Mastery by Eduardo A. Morato, Jr. on whole-brain thinking, which I believe should be read by all teachers and taught to students in elementary, high school, and college.

The book is inspiring and encouraging, and it helps individuals build a strong foundation for a fulfilling life by enhancing their ability to nurture, develop, and expand themselves.

This is possible by honing and enhancing the person’s ability to learn seven self mastery skills. These are:

Learning to Think, refers to the development of various types of thinking, such as analytical, critical, creative, associative, systemic, and integrative thinking, by employing facts, figures, evidence, trends, and patterns. Such thinking enables individuals to plan and organize projects systematically, generate ideas for creating new products or programs of work, and undertake organized projects that require collaboration with others and the utilization of their skills and resources.

Learning to Intuit, where you learn the art of guessing, intuiting, gut feeling, dream interpretation, remote viewing and sensing;

Learning to Feel, where emotional self awareness, mastering adverse emotions through intrapersonal skills, and managing relationships and emotions of others through interpersonal skills are explained;

Learning to Do, where we learn different things before doing, while doing, and after doing something;

Learning to Communicate, which explains the different styles or types of communication;

Learning to Lead, which teaches the differences between leaders from managlers, how leaders are formed, and qualities of leaders, and,

Learning to Be, by discovering how beautiful the world is through the 5 W’s- wonderment, worldview, wisdom, way of Spirit, and will to live.

In a Remote Viewing exercise described in the chapter Learning to Intuit, participants were instructed to use their intuition to describe in detail the house of a partner whom they were not close to. My partner for this exercise was Sr. Anna, the dean of our college. The exercise involved sitting next to each other, closing out eyes, and meditating for a few minutes to visualize our partner's house. Once we had done so, we were asked to share our visions with the group. Sr. Anna went first and accurately described various details of the my house, such as the location of the main door, a framed picture of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and the design and arrangement of the furniture in the sala. I found it strange that someone could accurately describe my home without physically being there, solely by using intuition. I was able to accurately describe Sr. Anna's house during the exercise, but was surprised to hear that Sr. Anna identified the house seen in the my mind as their house in their province.

By fostering the development of the skills mentioned earlier, students can improve their self-confidence and self-esteem, which, in turn, can enable them to lead fulfilling lives and reach their maximum potential.

At a later time, I was requested to teach a course on Self Mastery at Assumption College.
