Last Sunday was father’s day and we celebrated that day at home, away from the long queues for a table in restaurants in the malls.

I got a greet from a brother saying, happy grandfathers’ day. Indeed correct, that was one day of 12 months in a year that all my grandkids gather to give lolo a kiss and a hug.

Thanks God, someone thought of creating fathers’ day and grandfathers’ day.

Talking of generals, this group, they are gallant men who believe they are the best in battlefield and on bed.

Heard of that story when two highly bemedalled gentlemen met at a bar in Makati? Both reminisced those days at the war front.

The first general, coming from the army insists that gentlemen from the Army have the greatest reputation on womanizing. He claims to have slept with over a hundred during the war.

The other, used to be an admiral in the navy claims otherwise, saying the navy has the greater tradition when it comes to virility.

The bragging went on for a short while until the general from the army asked the nave admiral, “When was the last time you had bed a woman?

“About 1950,” came the answer.

“You call that virile?” said the army general.

The admiral looked at his watch and said, “Well, it’s only 2215 now.”

Sara Duterte was sworn in as the country’s vice president eleven days ahead of start of her term.

In these eleven days, the country will have a father and daughter team holding the top two positions in our government.

These eleven days will surely make it to our history books.
