It's been almost a month since Fil-Am Trevor Magallanes—husband of actress and comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto--died in the United States but no mention of the cause yet even as the actress has promised she would be the first one to announce it.
On her initial disclosure of the death of Trevor in her Instagram posts, Rufa Mae, aside from expressing her sadness and lamentations over the family tragedy, she also added that the cause of the death would be revealed as soon as she arrived in the US from the Philippines.
While in the US to attend purportedly to the post-mortem of Trevor, she again promised to reveal all after a series of social media reports on her husband were spread digitally, most of them, she said were unverified.
Quinto pleaded for the netizens to refrain from posting unsubstantiated reports as they could be accessed by their eight-year-old Athena Magallanes on the internet.
She again said that as a wife, she would be the one to post the facts about Trevor's death.
At the moment, though, many are still speculating the real cause of Trevor's death.
There are socmed accounts that the elder Magallanes died speculatively of either suicide or cancer or other terminal illnesses.
Rufa Mae and Trevor's love story is as colorful as a rainbow.
The couple met in the US when the actress went there in the mid-2010s.
It was like a whirlwind romance that after some time, Quinto was already heavy with a child.
In no time at all, the two got married in an exclusive events hall in Quezon City in 2016.
In 2017, Rufa Mae gave birth to Athena.
After giving birth, the family went to the US where Athena grew up, entered school and spent a privileged life.
At the time, Trevor was still working as a policeman at the San Francisco Police Department while Rufa Mae became an ordinary housewife.
Suddenly, at the latter part of 2024, a controversy brewed that Rufa Mae and Trevor were on the brink of separation.
The issue of divorce came from the man himself as he wrote on his socmed spaces which were quoted by the press when he described his marriage as "a sh*t show" which until now remains in legitimate news online.
Quinto, however, denied there was never a divorce plan concretized until Magallanes' death.
What was noticeable was the ubiquitous presence of Rufa Mae in the four walls of the Philippine entertainment industry.
In the early part of 2025, though, Quinto was served with an arrest warrant over an investment scam although nothing publicly progressed on the case as she was seen scot-free after the news.
Until Trevor was announced dead which Rufa Mae farther confirmed.
During the news report of his death, Trevor was described as a financial analyst.
As the general public is waiting for Rufa Mae's official revelation of her hubby's death, she is always in the thick of things memorializing him in many posthumous parties she hosts in the presence of her friends from all around the world.
