OPLAN Sita is an anti-crime operation being conducted from time to time unannounced by the Philippine National Police.

This is in line with its task in keeping peace and order elsewhere, anywhere, wherever in the whole Philippine archipelago.

That’s nice and commendable.

And closer to home, the Lipa City PNP conducted its own Oplan Sita ops in select barangays.

“Ito’y isang hakbang ng PNP-Lipa sa pakikipag-tulungan ng LGU to maintain peace and order for the safety of Lipeño people.”

For sure, it’s one and the same line other police stations would readily say why the conduct of Oplan Sita that are usually unannounced.

But no matter. Whatever.

Not all motorists are happy with the way OS is being conducted by the police.

Selective, actually, is the right word to call it.

One Tatin Garcia of Lipa has a good point splattered on his post below a photo post by Lipa City PNP.

Precisely.

I hope Chief PNP Guillermo Eleazar has an honest answer to this.

Our unsolicited advice to this is, Oplan Sita, be it here in Batangas or elsewhere, should include flagging down people on four-wheel rides.
