STILL hot topic in all corners of the country is the investigation by the Senate on the suspected corruption at the Department of Health and the Department of Budget and Management.

The number would speak for itself. Squid tactics and obfuscation moves will not work in a highly questionable situation like this that DBM and DOH got themselves into.

It’s just sad people’s confidence on the government gets to suffer from this.

###

Lesson from this investigation, it’s not true that business is bad in these times of the pandemic.

And well-connected Chinese businessmen just showed us there is reason to hope.

These Chinese entrepreneurs are creative in making bundles of cash, in billions of pesos.

They are creative enough that authorities in their home country are chasing after them with warrants of arrest.

And these Chinese businessmen and their local contacts are shouting at our senators, “mind your own business”.

###

There is a good reason our solons can’t seem to mind their own business. These Chinese carpetbaggers say it’s either because they have (1) no mind or (2) no business.

Worse, they have both no mind and business.

News: 120 schools chosen for pilot face-to-face classes. What happened to the rest?

The rest have lost their face.

Education has really suffered from this distance learning. A grade 1 teacher has this story to tell.

Teacher: Who knows how to count?

Luis: I do ma’am. I learned how to count from my tatay.

Teacher: Luis, okay, count from 1 to ten.

Luis: one, two .... Ten!

Teacher: Good Luis. Now, what comes after ten?

Luis: Jack!
