Even if Ahtisa Manalo, the Philippines' official entry to the 2025 Miss Universe held in Thailand, placed only 3rd Runner-Up, the country and Candelaria, Quezon where she was born and raised, are still beaming with pride.

Ahtisa went home to the Philippines from Pan Kret Nonthaburi, Thailand on a very unholy hour of the morning of November 24, 2025.

She was met by her avid fans and followers who were patiently waiting for her at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

Manalo thanked her ardent supporters for bearing to catch up with her homecoming.

One of the most controversial statements the Binibining Pilipinas-Universe said was her refusal to accept the Miss Universe-Asia.

Traditionally, the Miss Universe Organization (MUO) selects among the runners-up individual titles such as Miss Universe-Asia, Miss Universe Africa and Oceania, Miss Universe Americas and Miss Universe Europe and Middle East.

Ahtisa respectfully begs off to accept the elected title.

Earlier, Miss Universe 2025 Fourth Runner-Up Olivia Yace of Cote d’Ivoire stepped down as Miss Universe Africa and Oceania and returned her sash to the MUO and cut ties of her obligations to the international pageant.

But the ones who are also patiently waiting for her are the people of Candelaria.

Despite these developments, yes, the Candelarians are excited to see her after winning in the international competition.

According to a resident of Candelaria who doesn't want to be identified, she will prepare garlands for Ahtisa.

The whole of Quezon is proud as well of Manalo.

Nestor de la Rosa, another Quezonian, said he prayed hard for Ahtisa.

"Pero hanggang doon na lang talaga siya (But I think she is destined to really be that way)," observed Nestor.
