According to the Bible, 'Be angry and do not sin.' Hence, anger is a legitimate human emotion that can be triggered by stress, conflict, or frustration. While anger is a natural response, it is not a license to commit sins or crimes against humanity.

Here are some tips on how to calm down when an employee in the office gets angry:

Calm down! The first step in managing someone else's anger is to stay calm yourself. Take a deep breath and try to remain composed. Your demeanor can have a calming effect on the angry employee.

Listen actively! Allow the employee to express their feelings and concerns without interruption. By actively listening, you show empathy and understanding, which can help defuse the situation.

Validate their feelings! Acknowledge the employee's emotions and let them know you understand why they are feeling angry. Validating their feelings can help them feel heard and respected.

Avoid escalating the situation! Refrain from responding in an aggressive or defensive manner. Instead, maintain a neutral tone and avoid engaging in a power struggle.

Offer solutions! Once the employee has expressed their feelings, work together to find a solution to the issue at hand. Brainstorming possible resolutions can help shift the focus away from anger towards problem-solving.

Encourage a break! If the employee is unable to calm down, suggest taking a short break to cool off. Stepping away from the situation can provide the employee with a chance to collect their thoughts and emotions.

Follow up! After the initial anger has subsided, consider following up with the employee to ensure that the issue has been resolved and to prevent any future outbursts.

So, let us control anger before anger cotrols us.
