A dedicated public servant, Sen. Ramon "Bong" Revilla, Jr. finds a way to attend to his first love – which is acting both in television and movies. The actor-politician is thankful for the warm reception of TV viewers in his action-comedy series, “Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis” sa Kapuso Network.

"Siguradong matutuwa kayo dahil action-comedy, pang pamilya pa,” the Titanic action star said during a luncheon with the officers and members of Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC).

Revilla said, this early there are plans MMFF 2025 of a big action movie in the mold of Hollywood's “Expandables.”

"Pero for now wala pang official announcement dahil napakahirap i-gather lahat ng cast at nasa planning stage pa lamang.

Achilles' Heel

A recent update however saw the senator suffering injury while filming Alyas Pogi 4.

On his FB page, Revilla said he suffered a partial tear of his Achilles heel while filming a running scene, and that the doctors have recommended surgery to address the injury.

"Na-MRI na po ako kanina, and the doctor said my Achilles heel tear is at 50 percent, dahil sa pagtakbo… ang bilis ko raw tumakbo. I am okay," he said.

After the surgery, it may take 5 to 6 months before he can resume shooting. So let's wait and see if the shooting should be postponed or not.

Centenarians Act Amended

Meanwhile, the senator is happy with the amendment of the Centenarians Act which the Revillas lobbied on: Sen. Revilla at the Senate and Rep. Lani Mercado-Revilla (District Representative of the 2nd District of Cavite) & Rep. Bryan Revilla (Agimat Partylist) at Congress, for Republic Act 11982.

With Republic Act 11982, Senior Citizens will receive a cash gift of ₱10,000 when they reach the ages of 80, 85, 90, and 95. This is aside from the ₱100,000 cash on their 100th birthday.
