Under the heat of the sun, actor Ian de Leon didn’t mind the excruciating hot air in observing the first death year of his mom, Superstar and National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts Nora Aunor who is buried at the Libingan ng mga Bayani in Taguig City recently.

Ian was the one who took care of the preparation of the event weeks before the actual death anniversary of Nora.

At the event, de Leon was the one who received, accommodated and served with warmth the guests and well-wishers of the affair.

Although Lotlot de Leon, the first child Nora adopted, didn't show up at the LNMB, it was Ian’s other siblings like Matet and Kiko de Leon, both two adopted children as well, were around to celebrate the life and times of their mother.

According to the grapevine, there is a brewing conflict between Nora and Christopher de Leon’s kids but Ian appeared very secure with himself as the sole heir of the royal family.

Actress Boots Anson-Roa was also in the event as very special guests of the Villamayors, Aunors and de Leons.

Guy’s grave is bedecked with flowers of all colors, shapes and sizes.

Most of the flower offerings came from the family, relatives and mostly, Nora fans.

After the mass at the tombstone of La Aunor, Ian invited the guests and well-wishers to a sumptuous early dinner with Ian and Matet’s respective families, Kiko, Boots, entertainment writer Erlinda Rapadas T. and her daughter-in-law being trained as a movie reporter Ecy Rapadas and other important people in the life of Nora.
