As a technical and lawful process, the Vice President takes over the reins of the Presidency in the leadership of the Katipunan ng mga Artista ng Pelikulang Pilipino at Telebisyon (KAPPT).
That is why when Imelda Papin (who was voted as head of the Actors Guild of the Philippines) was designated by Malacanang as a new Director of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), her post at the KAPPT was rendered vacant.
According to actors Jeffrey Santos and Gerry Roman, the new president of Actors Guild is Hero Bautista.
"Dahil umakyat na po sa PCSO si Madam Imelda Papin, ayon po sa aming by-laws ay si Hero Bautista na ang aming presidente dahil siya ang Internal Vice-President noong bago i-appoint si Madam Imelda sa (Because she was appointed as Director of PCSO, our by-laws say Hero is our new president being her Internal Vice-President before she was given the higher post) at PCSO.
"At ang aming Vice-President for External Affairs na si Mister Rhene Imperial ang (After being Vice-President for External Affairs, Rhene Imperial is now the) Vice-President for Internal Affairs," informed Santos who retained his Chairmanship of a commottee of the organization.
