In time of the 25th anniversary on Feb. 25 of Republic Act 8550, The Philippine Fisheries Code of 1998, activist and fisherfolk under the Pambansang Lakas ng Kilusang Mamamalakaya ng Pilipinas (PAMALAKAYA) troop to the office of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) in Quezon City
to demand the junking of the oppressive and anti-fisherfolk law and denounced the destructive dredging activities in the Southern part of Manila Bay.
