Too much spice behind Rajo Laurel’s comments towards Eva Le Queen as viewers are not happy with the judge’s behavior in Drag Race PH

Fashion designer and alternating judge Rajo Laurel has been under fire in the social media world after the broadcast of “Drag Race Philippines” seventh episode where he dropped some “unnecessary” comments towards one of the contestants.

Laurel’s comments were directed to Eva Le Queen, in which he used words such as "mortal sin," "atrocity," and "ugly," to describe Eva’s second runway look.

The episode was divided in two parts with the runway themes "Shopulence, She Buys Everything!,” where they flaunted pieces that portrayed lavish shoppers such as Heart Evangelista, while the "Divi-Divas" had outfits that consisted of rags, fans, eco-bags, and more which can be found in Divisoria.

"I'm being fierce because I know you can do better, and I'm being hard because I have seen what you can do, and this is trash,” Laurel then said.

Despite Eva Le Queen accepting the criticisms with composure, viewers did not take his comments the right way and made noise on social media.

Netizens could not help but compare him to a “terror” college professor in lectures, especially during thesis defenses.

Laurel then took to Twitter just minutes after airing of the said episode and released a disclaimer saying:

“This is the episode where my emotions came over me. Pasensya na Po. I just love our queens & @dragraceph hence the passion & intensity.”

“I love you #evalaqueen ALAM MO YAN!!! @dragraceph #shotna,” he wrote.
"It will never come from being hurtful, mean, nor evil. I only want the BEST from our queens, the best from the Philippines!" He added, followed by the hashtag #dragraceph.

Eva Le Queen also shared a lengthy statement on Twitter on Thursday morning, addressing Laurel and thanking everyone who is still supporting her.

“To Sir Rajo, thank you for reaching out and patching things up. In better days, let’s have that nice dinner and drinks!”
