PBBM: Ka Mon. What's this story about the kings and kingdoms of Bono Adaza?
KA MON: Mr. President, he must be tired of not getting a response to his Open Letters to you. We are both outside your Circle of Friends and I feel the same way as he does.
PBBM: But I try to accept practically every invitation and respond to everyone and share my message of unity.
KA MON. Sir, that's it. Kumita na po yan. Tapos na po ang election. It's about time that you now announce bold policies and people-friendly programs. For example, you can issue a policy that henceforth your office will no longer appoint a judge unless endorsed by the judiciary or the Integrated Bar of the Philippines. Or in Agriculture, you could’ve announced that all budgets and programs of DA will be used to support the establishment of FOOD FARMS for every province on a Build Operate and Transfer to Farmer Corporations organized by NGO's and owned by the beneficiaries and professionally managed with the Agriculture and Credit Policy Council (ACPC) monitoring and refining its credit delivery system for replication. Now here's BONO ADAZA’s fable of 'Kings and Kingdoms"
"DiLiMAN WAY
WITH HOMOBONO A. ADAZA
OH, WHAT A KINGDOM
This is a fabled kingdom where billions rest buried In caves and hills
Worth billions of dollars, if recovered and used for the subjects of the king
could feed, house and cure the suffering and dying
Millions who lack food, medicines and hospitals.
But the king has eyes but cannot see, ears that cannot hear, keeps partying and dancing
Playing with his saxophones like the emperor who played the lyre while Rome was burning.
Why does he not wake up, he is not a fool, he appears intelligent
Son of a dead king who was brilliant, caring and visionary.
Alas, the subjects in his kingdom are poor while the princes, princesses, dukes and duchesses
Enjoy luxuries unmindful of the sad and tragic situation of the subjects who number in tens of millions.
So, what is the solution for the subjects of this unfortunate kingdom? Some say revolution like the French of Robespierre and Danton, but we are a democracy and the solution is open conversation. Subjects must wake up and hold the king and his nobles accountable. But if they still refuse to perform their functions, storming the Palace may be the solution. But it is not my suggestion. It’s just some peoples’ opinions."
PBBM: Looks like Bono has written this to spite me in his usual way as he did with other leaders before me, starting with my father.
KA MON: Looks like it Mr .President.
PBBM: What then must I do to satisfy him?
KA MON: If you care about your people, Mr. President, READ HIS OPEN LETTER in the FB and listen to the advice of those close to you. Like, the ABONO PARTY LIST FOUNDER Conrad Estrella III who you appointed DAR Secretary. He listens and acts on the complaints of the people. He is a true leader, as Ka Sonny says.
