THE BACK STORY Have you ever experienced having a member leave a service organization? Well, before they go, there should be such a thing called an ‘exit interview’. It's when we sit down and have a conversation with them. It helps us understand:
- WHY they're leaving
- WHAT they thought about being a member
UNDERSTANDING THE DEPARTURE
Why are they leaving? When someone decides to leave, we wonder why.
- The exit interview lets us ask them directly.
- We get to know more about their experience with our organization.
- Maybe they found a new opportunity - or had some concerns.
It's a chance for us to figure out what we're doing right - and what we can improve.
LEARNING FROM FEEDBACK
What can we improve? Every member's experience is unique. That means they have their own sentiments. During the exit interview:
- They can share their thoughts openly.

How can we keep them? We love having many members - and we want to keep them around.
