At the moment, Asia’s Timeless Diva Dulce has recuperated from the heaviest blow on her health.
It was indeed an unforgettable experience for the singer and she is thankful to have had a serious illness brought about by her series of shows here and abroad.
After her Europe singing stints, Dulce had to fly back to Manila to go to Cebu and Davao for fund-raising concerts with Bayang Barrios, Isay Alvarez and Robert Sena.
She hadn’t rested even for a few moments and yet she was able to perform for the audiences who were waiting for her.
It was a night-after-night show that brought her down with coughs and colds.
In other words, her only free time was to pee. “Jingle lang ang pahinga (Urinating is the only time to rest),” sas the colloquial saying goes.
But she's only human to get sick, although she was gratified that despite her weak body, she was able to stand up to perform.
“Thank God for His mercy,” Dulce could only utter.
Her shows with Bayang, Isay and Robert were part of fundraising for the victims of the earthquake in Cebu and later, the destructive Typhoon Tino.
Disaster-ravaged Davao was also a dedication of altruism from Dulce and company.
She had scheduled shows abroad but she couldn’t make them anymore so she asked forgiveness from fans waiting for her.
She’ll make up for them, she’s sure of that.
Godspeed, Sweet Dulce!
People will always understand you because you are honest.
