The Senator who dismisses laws

In a moment that would be hilarious if it weren’t so dangerous, Senator Erwin Tulfo boldly declared: “Wala tayong pakialam sa batas. Sometimes you have to bend the law to be able to please the people. Mas mataas ang taumbayan sa batas. Am I right Secretary Remulla?” A clown treating laws as mere decorations, to be bent and twisted depending on the mood of the crowd. Forget the Constitution, discard centuries of legal order. Why not just govern by applause meter?

The Justice Secretary nods along

And because absurdity loves company, Justice Secretary Boying Remulla nodded along like a dutiful sidekick. It’s a moron in agreement with an idiot, a duet of recklessness masquerading as leadership. These men are supposed to be guardians of justice, not clowns cracking jokes at democracy’s expense.

The dangerous joke

When lawmakers themselves urge people to disregard the law, society edges toward collapse. If popularity now outranks legality, then mob rule becomes the Constitution, noise becomes justice, and chaos becomes governance. Tulfo and Remulla are not merely unfit for office. They are liabilities to the Republic, dangerous saboteurs of the very civilization they swore to defend.
