Zephanie Dimaranan, the first winner of ABS-CBN's "Idol Philippines," has gone a long way from her victorious stint in the amateur singing contest.

After waxing sought after digital recordings, respectively, for Star Records and Republic Records in 2019 and 2023, Zephanie has proven her magical voice to be a commercial hit.

From TV, Dimaranan is now a theater performer joining the elite and the country's premier orchestra, the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra (PPO), fellow singer Julie Ann San Jose and K-pop idol Gaho in a game-changing stage experience dubbed "OST Symphony K Drama in Concert" on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 2 pm at the Metropolitan Theater.

Zephanie will interpret some of the popular K dramas and Filipino teleseryes to build a continuing mutual understanding between the Philippines and South Korea through arts and culture.

In an interview, Dimaranan said that fostering cultural exchanges and artistic collaborations between the Philippines and South Korea strengthen the ties that bind the two countries.

It must be remembered that the PH-Korea diplomatic relationship started even in the early years of 1950s when the Philippines sent a contingent during the Korean War to guard the democratic principles of South Korea.

Together with PPO, Julie Ann and Gaho, the hallyu influences and the nationalist sentiments would be felt in the music.

"OST Symphony KDrama Concert," a partnership among the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and the Korean Cultural Center (KCC) Philippines.
