SAN FELIPE, Zambales — A public auditorium with an initial funding of P40 million will be constructed here as a result of the collaboration among local officials and some lawmakers.

Mayor Reinhard “Hart” Jeresano, together with the entire council, led the groundbreaking ceremony for the San Felipe public auditorium at the Liwasan, which was supported by Zambales 2nd District Rep. Doris “Nanay Bing” Maniquiz.

According to Maniquiz, funding for the said auditorium did not only come from her office.

"As I've mentioned, I won't tire of seeking help from Congress and the Senate to gather funds for our province. Just last week, I sent two Elf trucks loaded with mangoes there so they can remember and continuously support us. This auditorium is a result of that."

Maniquiz said that even though she is always asking for support from other officials, "what's important is that they always bring something back for our towns."

"I'm joined in this project by Congressman Jude Acidre of Tingog Party List, along with some officials from DPWH and Municipal Planning who said that this project worth P40M will be completed," Maniquiz said during the occasion.
She added: "Tingog Party List provided P20 million, and we also contributed P20 million, but Mayor Hart suggested that we might ask for an additional P20 million from him for the beautification of the surroundings of the said auditorium, making a total of P40 million from his funds."

She also thanked the people of San Felipe for their continued support, along with Zambales Governor Hermogenes “Jun” Ebdane Jr., emphasizing the importance of cooperation between local leaders for the benefit of everyone.

Meanwhile, Jeresano also expressed his gratitude to Maniquiz., saying she is "not just a blessing but a downpour of blessings to the second District of Zambalez due to her continuous support to the entire community here."

Mayor is grateful

"As the father of the town of San Felipe, we are deeply grateful. When I was campaigning, I mentioned this project to you, that it's not wrong to dream, that this auditorium can be realized within our first term of office," the Mayor said.

According to Jeresano, the auditorium would not be possible without the help of our Maniquiz and Ebdane.

"It's something I've been saying since I was campaigning until now as mayor, the unity from the congress, province, town, and municipal council members is crucial. When there's cooperation, everything advances, together, a lot can be achieved.
"In this opportunity, we've been provided funding with the help of our beloved congresswoman and Tingog Party List, along with the LGU. Since the old Plaza was destroyed back in 2010, only now, in the year 2024, the dream of the people of San Felipe to have a new Public Auditorium is being realized," Jeresano said
He added: "These are just some of the projects for our district. Through our cooperation with our hardworking mayors and the people of the second district, we can identify projects that will truly help our fellow citizens."

Alongside the said ground breaking ceremony was the continuation of the Bagong Pilipinas Mini Serbisyo Day program brought by Maniquiz and Tingog Partylist, which provided over 2,100 beneficiaries with medical assistance, free medical laboratory tests, circumcision, and legal services from the said town.

"We're happy to be instruments in continuing to help our fellow district members. So expect us to continue delivering services for you," said Maniquiz.
