It's award-winning filmmaker Vince Tanada's time to shine anew in a film festival.

Remember when he starred in a movie titled "Otso" under Maestro Elwood Perez's helm which was entered and screened at the Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino (PPP) some years back?

PPP was an annual film festival organized by the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP).

The film was praised by both critics and moviegoers alike.

It was a celebration of one's artistry for Vince who was just starting his movie acting career at the time.

Years after, even without the benefit of a film fest, Vince still enjoyed the appreciation and accommodation of his film showing although his Philstagers Film Productions' "Katips" was sadly rejected by an edition of a Metro Manila Film Festival.

Eventually, it was shown separately and made a killing at the tills, according to Tanada himself.

During the awards season that time, it won a lot at the Famas awards night, specifically Best Picture and Best Actor for Vince, among others.

Tanada recently entered his latest masterpiece, "Ang Bangkay" at the recently concluded 8th Sinag Maynila Film Festival and won accolades at the fest, namely Best Cinematography for Manuel "Andoy" Abanto, Best Production Design for Cyrus Khan and Best Supporting Actress for Mercedes Cabral.

Tanada was thankful his film was selected at Sinag.

He might not win many awards but taking home the Cabral and the Khan trophies made Vince happy and artistically fulfilled.

It was a night to remember for Tanada.
