Veteran film director and writer Francis "Jun" Posadas died this morning (Tuesday, August 12) at his residence in Imus City, Cavite.

The sad news was announced by entertainment writer Mell T. Navarro on his Facebook page.

According to Mell, Jun's daughter Susan Kelly Urcullo Posadas, called him and confirmed the unfortunate incident.

"Bigla na lang po siyang natumba (He just suddenly fell off the grouNd)," said Susan Kelly as her reply to Navarro.

Details of the wake are not yet available.

Posadas was popular for his films "Magnum Muslim .354," "Masarap na Pugad," and "Itlog," among other box-office hits.
