Thanks to the continued work behind its "Tulay sa Progreso" project of Governor Angelina "Doktora Helen" Tan, Quezon Province is making significant progress toward equitable development.

The project began on January 29 with the release of "Tulay sa Progreso 2026: Bridging NGA and LGU Partnerships for a Healthy and Progressive Quezon Province."

The event brought together people from local government units (LGUs) and national government agencies (NGAs) to improve cooperation throughout the province.

Tan stressed that the provincial government is like a bridge that connects local leaders with national agencies.

Such collaboration makes it easier for every city and town to build development goals that they can really follow through.

The goal of the cooperation is to provide important services and projects more swiftly and effectively for the benefit of all communities.

Tan then led the Provincial Development Council (PDC) at a special meeting just a few days later, on February 2.

Mayors, local officials, and other people from all around Quezon came together to go over and approve the Department of Public Works and Highways' (DPWH) plans for key infrastructure projects in 2027.

The "Tulay sa Progreso" initiative has not only strengthened partnerships between national agencies and local governments but has also given newly-elected local leaders a valuable platform to connect directly with key officials and gain clarity on development programs.

Mayor Nikko Devanadera, in his first term as local executive of Sampaloc, also found the project a welcome experience.

But sa ganitong pamamaraan, yung nandito yung maraming agencies, at least nagkakaroon ng catch-up,” he added.

Projects authorized during the meetings included fixing existing roads, laying down new roads to remote areas, and improving drainage systems.

This list contains ideas from every city and town, as well as the provincial government's top objectives for 2027.

The Provincial Board and the Regional Development Council will now go over these approved plans one more time and put them into action.
