PADRE Garcia, Batangas -- A 61-year-old man died after being struck by a motorcycle here. The rider who hit him was also injured.
According to Hazel Abiar's report on GMA Regional TV Balitang Southern Tagalog on Wednesday (March 6, 2024), CCTV footage captured the victim leaving a subdivision to cross the road to reach a store located on the other side of the national road in Barangay Banaba.
The victim was in the center of the highway when a motorcycle driven by a 31-year-old rider collided with him.
The impact of the collision threw both the victim and the rider to the ground.
Upon arrival at the hospital, the victim was pronounced dead, while the rider was still undergoing treatment.
Reportedly, the families of both the victim and the rider have already communicated, and the victim's remains have been transported back to Quezon.
