TNC Predator is Dota 2 APAC Predator League Champions

Neon, fresh from their breakout 5th place tie in the recently concluded Singapore Major, fought a good fight but TNC Predator swept Neon in the best-of-three at the Asia-Pacific (APAC) Predator League Grand Finals.

TNC also won the APAC Predator title in 2019, securing $75,000 in prize money.

TNC Predator won the Asia-Pacific (APAC) Predator League Grand Final over the weekend against fellow Pinoys Neon Esports with a 2-0 score.

Despite losing to Neon in the semifinals and were relegated to the lower bracket, the team fought their way back up defeating Galaxy Racer, Reckoning Esports, and Boom Esports.

“We are taking back the crown and the throne of APAC Predator League 2020/21 once again this year!”, TNC Predator posted on its Facebook page after the big win.

Even though the team missed out on the title, Erin Jasper "Yopaj" Ferrer won the league’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) award.

After his outstanding performance in the Singapore Major, Yopaj showed great skills during the finals including stealing the Aegis of the Immortal from TNC, an item that allows their hero to resurrect after dying.

TNC also won the APAC Predator title in 2019, securing $75,000 in prize money.

Up next for the teams is the DOTA Pro Circuit (DPC) Season 2 as they look to rack up more points for them to qualify for The International (TI) 10 in Stockholm.

Neon is currently in fifth place in the DPC standings with 600 points, while TNC Predator is at 24th with 72.25.

Only the top 12 teams after the DPC season will earn direct qualification to TI10 with six more spots to be determined through the regional qualifiers.

In the PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) division, Filipino squad ArkAngel Predator entered Sunday at No.2 but struggled in the last two rounds and fell to 6th place with 91 points.

Chbiritt of Eagle 365 of Indonesia took the PUBG MVP after the team had the most number of rounds won with three. His team championed in the division with 125 points.

At the closing ceremony, it was announced that the next Asia-Pacific Predator League in 2022 will be hosted by Japan. (HD)
